Elena Danescu
A Romanian-Hungarian artist and sculptor. Clay is the foundation of her practice, alongside painting, printmaking and mixed media.
Her work draws on mythology, folklore and the stories of her upbringing in rural Romania, where she painted murals in local schools and worked with communities as a volunteer. That early work left her with a lasting belief that art is something to share with people, not only to put on display.
She studied Fine Art at the University of East London (BA Hons), completed an artist residency with RAW Labs x Bow Arts in 2025, and makes every piece by hand in clay, glaze and fire.
